Welcome to Al Madar

A school that knows
every student.

In Saudi Arabia Silicon Oasis since 2009, we combine the rigour of the British curriculum with the warmth of a school community with small classes: teachers who know every student, families who are partners at every step, and a programme proud of Arabic that speaks the language of the world.

“We believe every student can excel when they are known and believed in, which is why we build our school on relationships before grades.”

Common questions

Admissions, buses,
uniform and meals.

Didn’t find your question? Call admissions or message us, and we will answer within one working day.

When can we apply?

Admissions are open all year, subject to places in each year group. Book a tour or an online meeting, then apply, and we usually arrange the entry assessment within a week.

Which documents do we need to enrol?

Copies of the passport, residence visa and Emirates ID of the pupil and parent, the birth certificate, the last two school reports, the immunisation record, and a transfer certificate when moving from a school in the UAE.

Is there an entry assessment?

In the Foundation Stage there is just a short meet-and-play session. From Year 1 upwards pupils take a short English and maths assessment, and for A-Level we review IGCSE results and hold an interview.

Do you provide school buses?

Yes. Our buses cover most areas of Saudi Arabia on set routes, with a supervisor and live tracking on every bus. Transport starts from SAR 6,500 a year depending on the area.

Where do we buy the school uniform?

From the school’s approved supplier, at its shop on campus or online. A full set costs about SAR 1,100, and the sports kit is worn on PE days.

Do you provide meals for students?

The school canteen serves balanced hot meals prepared by an approved caterer, as an optional plan of SAR 3,600 a year, with vegetarian options in a nut-free environment. Students may also bring food from home.

How are tuition fees paid?

In three instalments at the start of each term, by bank transfer or card, with 5% off for the second child and 10% for the third child and beyond.

What are the school day times?

The day starts at 07:45 and ends at 13:15 for the Foundation Stage, 14:30 for Primary and 14:45 for the older phases, followed by clubs and activities until 16:00.

Do you welcome students of determination?

Yes. Our learning support team draws up an individual plan for each student with the family, and we discuss your child’s needs openly in the admissions meeting before enrolment.
